Informational, but not high quality photos in this gallery. The Santiago and Siverado Canyon fires were the closest to my home, immediately behind Santiago Peak on the Orange County side, located up-and-over-the-mountain on the west side of Horsethief Canyon Ranch neighborhood. Note the twin peak "V" shape in several of the first six distance photos, this is formed by Santiago and Modjesca peaks. The photos show what the smoke plume looked like from downtown Corona with the wind still basically flowing off-shore. When the flow reversed to a more typical on-shore SW flow, the neighborhood got pretty smoky and ashed for several days until a light rain and fire containment significantly improved air quality. Between the clouds and smoke, the sunsets were beautiful, albeit during a major tragedy.
